Here is her experience & teaching journey in his own words:
Q1. When and how did you start working as a Spoken English Trainer?
Ans. In Sept 2013, I volunteered with the TOI to teach young adults under their “English for Employability” CSR initiative. The training sessions with British Council were insightful, and I thoroughly enjoyed employing their tools and grooming the young students.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Spoken English Trainer?
Ans. As we all know, learning is a lifelong process, and I believe tutors must teach self-learning techniques that will hold them in good stead forever. Besides, tutors should be flexible and approachable to make the learning process enjoyable.
Q3. What, according to you, helps you stand out from other Spoken English Trainers on UrbanPro.com?
Ans. I believe in strong basics and then building on them. While most falter on the same mistakes, no two students are the same, and customized sessions are what make my classes stand out.
Q4. How did you come across UrbanPro.com?
Ans. I came across this while searching on the net.
Q5. What was the turning point in your career?
Ans. I’ve been fortunate to add new dimensions to my career over the years – from banking to editing and writing, brand building and marketing, and then to teaching and training. The latest turning point was the opening up of online classes through which I hope to reach out to a vast body of students.
Q6. How has UrbanPro.com helped you so far as a Tutor?
Ans. It has definitely helped me connect with students I would never have been able to have access to.
Q7. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro.com?
Ans. About 30-40% of my students have come through UrbanPro over the last few years.
