We are happy to announce Onkar Vaidya, an experienced music trainer and music composer from Dombivli, Palava as our tutor of the month. He has been training in Music for 14 years and has nurtured various fields of it. Onkar has trained successfully over 276 students, and in this journey, he has also learned many things from the students. As a result, he has a good grip on the different concepts of Music.
Onkar is pursuing LLB from RTMNU and also providing training all along. He can speak Marathi, English and Hindi and so his students feel very comfortable in communicating. Besides providing singing classes, he also teaches Music Arrangement & Programming, Mixing & Mastering. Onkar himself is a Music Producer by profession, and thus, he has a better understanding of the various types of Music mixing and composing. He is also well trained in Tabla. This helps him to understand the rhythm and also compose tunes during the training session.

Q1. When and how did you start working as a Music trainer?
Ans. I started working as a tutor eight years ago. It was my aim that whatever knowledge I have regarding my Art of Music, I should share it with as many people as possible who really want to learn Music & not just learn Music but also be good at performing it. I also wanted to help all those who really wanted to take a lot of effort in learning Music & wanted to excel at it.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Music trainer?
Ans. To become a music trainer, one requires vast & extensive knowledge of Music, both Practical and Theoretical Again; one should also have dedication towards the Art; years of experience in Live Performances; experience & knowledge of Playback singing techniques & Music Production techniques. Moreover, one should also have a student-friendly & interactive approach, strictness wherever necessary, ability & Open-mindedness to learn new things as a tutor, systematic approach while teaching.

Ans. My Actual field experience as a Music Producer in the Music Industry regarding various techniques & their proper systematic execution helps me stand out from other music trainers.

Ans. The turning point in my career was when I decided to build my career in the field of Music rather than doing a job after completing my academic studies as I had no interest in working in any field other than Music.

Onkar has done Visharad Pratham in Tabla and has trained many students. He is an expert teacher in folk, Hindustani classical, western and Bhajan songs. He teaches one to one and group classes as per students requirements. However, he has several age group categories: such as above 50 years, 14-21 years old and 22-50 years. Onkar being an expert, trains Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner levels of students.
