Q1. When and what inspired you to start teaching Music?
Ans. I have started my journey of music learning from childhood. My first Guru was my father Somnath Mukherjee, who is a well known classical singer. I was inspired from him to take up and teach music when I grow up. I grew up in a musical environment where music was a part of our family culture. I started teaching students music at the age of fifteen with my father.
Q2. What qualities are essential to become a great Music Teacher?
Ans. To become a great music teacher, a trainer should have deep knowledge of music, should have extensive experience of teaching music irrespective of all age groups, should be versatile according to the requirements of different students, which will help the students to grow up professionally. A music teacher should also be well disciplined, highly motivated, interactive, good communication skill, honest and student friendly.

Ans. Two years back when I started my institute ‘Gurukul” in Gurgaon, I had to search for a platform to get quality students from different agencies. While searching, I came across ‘UrbanPro.com’.
