Where there is life, there will be ups and downs. Life is not a bed of roses and definitely not a bed of thorns either. So don’t take all your failures too personally that it disturbs your normal life. Success and failure goes hand in hand, without them your life is incomplete. The point I am trying to make here is, any failure or success should not define your entire life and especially ‘You’. So if you fail in the JEE exam, buckle up and don’t get disheartened. Remember it is an exam and don’t make it look something larger-than-life. Just give your very best.
After your first unsuccessful attempt, if you are looking forward to join the IIT club then go for a repeat in 2016 (if you are still eligible to sit in the next year’s exam). This time around change your JEE preparation strategies and plan with a brand new approach. You may also like to go for JEE coaching or JEE crash course whichever is suitable for your level of preparation. One more thing you can do is to avoid the common mistakes students commit in JEE and the rest depends on your overall preparation and competition in the given year. Also, learn from your mistakes and never repeat them again, identify your strengths & weakness and work accordingly.
Every year more than 13 lakh students appear for the JEE competing for 9,500 seats in different IITs in India. Understandably, the competition is huge and the rate of success is a small fraction of the total number of candidates. Even if your number in not present in the selected list, don’t worry because there are hundreds of engineering institutes in India who accepts JEE scores. Not making in one of the IITs doesn’t means – the end of your engineering career. You can launch your career in the engineering field from any public or private colleges. Just keep developing your skills and work on your visions.
At the end of the day, what matters most is how good you are at creating new things, bringing in innovative ideas and how you can make life easier. Look around not all the greatest engineers in India are IIT Alumni and still been doing great stuffs. Whether your aim in life is to become a renowned engineer or to earn huge money, always remember there are other ways to achieve it besides the IIT!
