Congratulations Ashik Shah!
Given is the excerpt of the interview with Ashik Shah:
Q. How and when you started to work as a SAP Trainer?
In 2011, I started my career as a SAP Trainer, in Hyderabad. But before that I was already conducting training classes on Personality Development, and Motivational Sessions, inspired by famous personalities. I became a SAP Trainer accidentally, when I was preparing documents for myself to ease learning SAP, which typically served as the material that everyone was looking for. Since then, I have been passionate about teaching SAP to students and helping them to learn SAP concepts easily.
“The best way to achieve something big is not by starting something big but giving a small start that will grow big” – I strongly believe in this quote and I keep this as my moral for training.
Q. What skills are required to become an excellent SAP Trainer?
A zeal to perform and deliver the best, the fire to beat one’s own records, ability to put efforts to make students understand, good presentation skill to keep the students engaged and capability to fill the gap between a student and a teacher, makes a good trainer. Similarly, for a SAP Trainer, he must be a good trainer and have an in-depth technical knowledge.
In SAP, you will find many students who fears to code but a true teacher should take up a challenge in preparing every student to face the industry as a professional. I guess I am doing it. I take the principles of SHUHARI and Triangulation to be a good trainer. Let’s understand each of them, SHUHARI – The Japanese way to improve excellence and Triangulation – It is the process of determining the location of a point by measuring angles to it from known points (Discover from known to unknown).
Q. What do you think makes you a good SAP Trainer?
As mentioned earlier, the gap between a student and a teacher should be filled to have the best knowledge sharing between each other. A good SAP trainer should show more practical examples rather than simply explaining the theory, he should ensure that the students are able to follow the course in a better way in frequent time intervals.
If you can really conquer a student’s mind, it means you are good. I am the same as mentioned above.
Q. How you came across UrbanPro?
UrbanPro is something special in my training career. When I was trying to create a portal that will serve as a mediator for both students and the trainers, I came across UrbanPro and I am with it for more than 2 years now.
Q. What was the turning point in your career?
I failed multiple times and still I think that my journey to success is always under construction and progress is the only way of life. I have discovered that I can inspire students after giving a guest talk at VSB Engineering College in 2010. I could say that it is where I discovered the Trainer in me and so I consider that moment my turning point.
Q. How UrbanPro platform helped you to expand your SAP Training Classes?
UrbanPro is a bridge between a student and some of the best professionals in the industry. It is only because of UrbanPro I could reach distant horizons in SAP training. I have been training domestic & overseas students because of the accreditation that UrbanPro has given me.
Q. What do you think you wished you had known early on UrbanPro?
I am just two years old on UrbanPro platform and I am happy that I have found it which is similar to what I thought. UrbanPro is developing with new useful features for professionals like me and I am sure that it will continue doing so. I am “Quite happy with UrbanPro..!”
Q. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro?
I can happily say that around 60% of my total students are from UrbanPro.
Q. Tell about one UrbanPro feature that you like? And why?
The growth of every organization is highly dependent on the values it follows. I know that UrbanPro is built with good values. I cannot restrict myself with one feature because every feature in UrbanPro kindles a trainer to contribute more to his domain.
