PTE Speaking Tips Question Wise

a) Personal Introduction (30 seconds)

The tips for Personal Introduction in PTE Speaking exam are as follows:

As its a introductory session, you do not need to talk everything about yourself.
Frame your answer depending on the questions that are asked about you.
Make sure you begin recording your content, only after you hear a beep sound.
Do make sure, you end your speaking about yourself within the stipulated time assigned for this question.
b) Read Aloud (40 seconds)

The tips for Read Aloud in PTE Speaking exam are as follows:

I. Read every word in the content that you will be provided including the articles. Severe marks is deducted for students who miss words while reading.

II. Do not over fast your reading speed nor be too slow in the process. Maintain pace in your PTE Read Aloud section.

III. Before you start recording your Read Aloud content during PTE Speaking exam, try to run your eye over the entire content for a bird view understanding.

c) Image Description (40 seconds)

The tips for Image Description question in PTE Speaking exam are as follows:

I. Do make a mention of the every element that you witness in the image that you will be provided on the PTE exam desktop.

II. In the image description question of PTE Speaking exam, often you will be provided with graphs or pie charts. Make sure you use the right jargon to describe these kind of images.

III. In an erasable notepad, make a note of the important points that you plan to add in your content for PTE Speaking exam.

d) Sentence Repetition (3-9 seconds)

The tips for Sentence Repetition question in PTE Speaking exam are as follows:

I. While repeating the sentence do not miss on tonality. Like, pause during a comma or add a note of exclamation to your voice if you see the relevant punctuation.

II. If you get a very long sentence with no break, you can set your own breaks for a good reading.

III. Make sure you read aloud and clear during the sentence repetition questions.

e) Re-tell a lecture (up to 90 seconds)

The tips for Re-tell a lecture question in PTE Speaking exam are as follows:

I. Begin your answer describing the situation of the lecture you heard. Like, if its a classroom, mention that. Or in case of a rally, mention the same.

II. Do use words and phrases from the lecture you heard in order to keep the connect and relevance.

III. Make sure, you complete re-telling the lecture in stipulated time.
