Q1. When and how did you start as a Spoken English Trainer?
After completing my Engineering in 2008, I started my job- hunt. When I attended my first interview, I was rejected stating that I have poor Spoken English skills, and this was a major let- down for me. I took this as a challenge, and I joined a spoken English academy for training. Post completion of my training, I was hired as a ‘Spoken English Trainer’ from the same academy.
I took this opportunity to teach hundreds of students, such as me, who were unable to get a job because of their spoken English skills. Later, my passion for teaching made me a full- time Spoken English Trainer.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Spoken English Trainer?
In-depth knowledge of grammar is quintessential for a Spoken English Trainer. Trainers should also have great fluency. I believe one should have the passion for teaching to become a trainer.
Q3. What do you think makes you stand out from other Spoken English Trainers on UrbanPro.com?
I focus mainly on the tenses in grammar. Once the foundation in tenses is laid in the students’ minds, then begins the conversation part. This has been my unique way of teaching since ‘day one’.
