Q1. When and how did you start as an IELTS tutor?
I started training in the year 2012 when UrbanPro was known as Think Vidya.
Q2. What skills are required to become an IELTS tutor?
Apart from the basic skills of English reading, writing, listening and speaking, an educator should have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The basics of grammar help learners to obtain a band score of 7+, which is otherwise quite difficult to score 7+. Not only grammar but also the usage of a wide variety of vocabulary helps to improve fluency in speaking as well. Lastly, an educator should know innovative ways to motivate learners to study through both means – classroom and online.
