Here is his experience & teaching journey in his own words:

Q1. When and how did you start working as a Spoken English Tutor?

Ans. I started training students in 2020. I was browsing the web when I came across the UrbanPro site, and it had an option to register as a tutor. I seemed to be meeting the requirements, so I registered. First, there was a trickle of enquiries, but I responded to every one of them and even purchased about 2000₹ of coins before I got my first student. After his review, the enquiries increased. Now, I am flooded with them and have 5 to 7 students at any time.

Q2. What skills are required to become a Spoken English Tutor?

Ans. A strong command of both the languages, the one you are communicating in and the one you are teaching, a pleasant voice, and a love for teaching are the most important things. The ability to connect is also an essential factor.

Q3. What, according to you, helps you stand out from other Spoken English Tutors on UrbanPro.com?

Ans. My exposure to people living in the North (where I have spent a large part of my life) and the South (where I come from) distinguishes me from other tutors. My voice skills have also been appreciated by many people I have met, sometimes only once or twice.

Q4. How did you come across UrbanPro.com?

Ans. I came across UrbanPro while browsing the web.

Q5. What was the turning point in your career?

Ans. My career’s turning point came about six weeks after I got my first student when my students started writing good reviews about me. Then, I realised I am good at this.

Q6. How has UrbanPro.com helped you so far as a Tutor?

Ans. The support staff at UrbanPro are very patient and helpful; every single one of them and the platform itself is a very good one to teach. The payments are prompt. What more can a teacher ask for?

Q7. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro.com?

Ans. 85% of my work comes from UrbanPro.
