Q1. When did you start teaching Carnatic Music?
Ans. I have been in the music field for the last 14 years. On a regular basis, I used to participate in music competitions and organise music concerts. However, I started taking Carnatic Music Classes only in 2016 via UrbanPro. Joining UrbanPro has been instrumental in converting my passion to profession. And I am happy about that.
Q2. What are the requisite skills to become a Carnatic Music Trainer?
Ans. A Carnatic Music Trainer should have good knowledge of music. The trainer should follow good training methodology that can make adults, as well as kids, learn Carnatic music easily.
Being patient and a good listener is critical for becoming a successful trainer. As a Carnatic Music Trainer, our ultimate aim is to help students become an independent learner. I feel happy when delighted parents share their kids’ progress in learning Carnatic music.
