Invented in 1931, the amplified electric guitar was adopted by jazz guitarists with an aim to cater to big band ensembles.
This guitar is typically crafted with the steel and its strings are generally easier to press down. It is a fused string instrument that uses a pickup to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical signals.
