The count of young Indians who travel abroad for academic purpose is increasing steep. Their common academic destinations abroad are Germany, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and United States. Some also travel to the USA. Irrespective of academic background, this growing wish to travel abroad and study is a syndrome that effect today’s youth in India.

Based on interview with several such students who are soon in plan to travel abroad for an academic course, here is listing the five most common reasons why Indian students are traveling abroad. The reasons are genuine and have logical reasoning tagged to each of them.

Limited number of seats

Indian colleges offer very few top quality education programs and those are again backed by limited number of seats. The limitation of quality courses and also, the number of seats compels Indian students to go abroad and study. Than staying in homeland and studying in B-grade colleges, it’s better to go overseas and do a course that really benefits one’s career graph.

 Value of foreign degree

There is no doubt, that when the abroad qualified young Indians return to the nation with foreign degrees, their profile becomes more lucrative for hiring managers. Irrespective of field, the scope, and opportunities when trying with an overseas degree is vast and hence, today’s Indian students aim for it.

 Improved academic facilities and parameters

Undoubtedly, the course design and related parameters of abroad colleges are much better when compared to the Indian ones. These better opportunity of courses offered by overseas colleges and institutes impress Indian students, who thereafter try and reach the international colleges only.

There is no doubt, that pursuing a career abroad is the first step to settle down there.
