CAT 2014: Online Tutorial is Open for Candidates

The CAT 2014 comes with few changes that were not available in previous years. In 2013, CAT candidates were taken through a 15-min exam tutorial and a short mock test, just before the exam. However, this feature will be missing in 2014 CAT Exam, instead a mock online exam tutorial is made available from today i.e. 28th October, 2014 from 1 P.M. onwards. CAT candidates can go through the tutorial at the CAT 2014 website. Going through the tutorial is critical, as candidates can get a hang of the exam beforehand and plan accordingly.

There is also a change in the agency who would conduct the CAT 2014 exam. Earlier Prometric was the testing agency who helped IIMs to conduct the exam, from this year it has been changed to TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) who bagged the contract for the next 5 year. CAT 2014 exam dates are scheduled on 16th November and 22nd November, 2014. It is essential that CAT aspirants must familiarize themselves with the tutorial from the website well in advance for worry-free exam day. In addition, candidates can now also change their personal details between 25 November (10:00 am) – 28 November (17:00 pm), 2014.

CAT 2014 also brings few changes in the exam pattern. Unlike in 2013, this year CAT exam will not have sectional time limit. Candidates can switch between Sections easily to attempt questions, as per their comfort. However, the challenge would to manage time effectively, to answer all the questions. The window to download Admit Card is open at CAT 2014 website since 19^th October, 2014.
