One of the most famous form of self-defense attempted by people worldwide is Kick Boxing, It is not very complicated to learn, basically kick boxing focuses on punches- use of hands and elbows, kicks- use of knees and legs, the movement is rapid and powerful creating confusing and damage to the attacker.
Kick boxing was introduced first in Japan by combining various martial arts forms like Muay Thai, Kun Khmer and boxing, various other variants were developed like The American Kick Boxing, The French Boxe pieds-poings, Thai Kickboxing or Muay Thai, Indian Musti yuddha etc.

Karate

Jiu-Jitsu
Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian martial art form where a person combats or defends himself/ herself from an opponent who might be armed or unarmed using a small weapon or no weapon. Jiu-jitsu can be translated as the art of manipulating and using the opponent’s force to harm the opponent rather than using one’s own force by using bare hands or legs or a small weapon. It was observed that if the opponent is armed, it is very difficult to attack or harm the opponent thus, the focus shifted on neutralization in the form of joint locks, throws, twisting of arms and legs, biting, striking and kicking etc.
Jiu- Jitsu is one of the handiest martial arts as it teaches an individual how to distract the person and use the opponent to harm themselves.
