Here is an excerpt of the interview with Roby:
Q1. When and how you started as a Spoken English Trainer?
Ans. I was a Supply Chain management professional with 20 years of lower and middle management experience in companies like Airtel, Vodafone, Etisalat, Raymonds etc.,
In the year 2012, I wanted to change my career from Supply Chain management to Freelance Training because I wanted to help other people in some way or the other and give back to society in some form or another.
While I was employed in my previous companies, I noticed that many employees, especially engineers, had done their higher secondary schooling in Tamil medium. So their Spoken English skills were poor. As a result, these people would not fare well in interviews. They would also feel very inadequate among their colleagues in office. They had poor soft skills on account of their inability to express in English.
So I decided that I would help working executives and unemployed graduates / professionals improve their Spoken English skills so that they could speak more fluently and thereby feel confident in their area of work.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Spoken English Trainer?
