What is UrbanPro?
UrbanPro is the new name for ThinkVidya.com. As you know ThinkVidya.com is one of India’s leading education marketplaces and has had great success in connecting students and parents to the teachers and institutes that meet their specific requirements. After our success in education, we are launching several new categories where we will be providing similar local services and hence we needed to change the brand name to UrbanPro.com from ThinkVidya.com.
The services that will be offered on UrbanPro.com will include:
- Education (existing service)
- Health & Wellness
- Event Management & Services
- Photography
- Interior Designers
- Other Professionals – Lawyers, Investment Professionals etc.
We will be launching these categories in a new city every couple of months. The first city where we will launch these new categories is Bangalore.
What was the reason behind changing the name?
Earlier, we offered services only in Education. The main reason for changing the name is because we are expanding our services to categories beyond education. UrbanPro.com is now a new marketplace, to hire skilled service professionals in following categories –
- Education (Existing Service from ThinkVidya.com )
- Health & Wellness
- Event Management & Services
- Photography
- Interior Designers
- Other Professionals – Lawyers, Investment Professionals etc.
I have been with ThinkVidya.com for a long time now; are there any changes to the services I have been availing after the changeover to UrbanPro?
There would be no changes in the current services that we have been offering so far. We will continue to grow the education vertical as that will still be a large part of our business and so there will be no changes for existing users apart from the brand name change.
I’m an existing user from ThinkVidya.com. Is there any benefit from the new services you have expanded to as UrbanPro?
If you are a skilled professional in any of these new categories, you may offer these services and get connected with a consumer/customer. You can also avail these services from professionals on UrbanPro if you need them from a consumer stand-point.
I have the ThinkVidya.com App. Do I have to change the App to UrbanPro App to continue receiving enquiries?
Yes, we would be launching a UrbanPro App very soon. We will announce the launch and keep you posted on this.
I don’t like UrbanPro, I liked ThinkVidya.com more. The new features in UrbanPro are more complicated, so can I go back?
UrbanPro works exactly the same way as how ThinkVidya.com used to work. We have not made any major changes to the functionality. However if you still have some difficulty, please mention the feature that you are facing difficulty with and we will try to simplify that for you.
Is there anything extra I have to pay like registration fee in UrbanPro
No. There is no extra registration fee, as we have just changed the name and added few more categories.
How do I get better visibility on UrbanPro Platform?
Ranking on UrbanPro follows the same criterion as ThinkVidya.com. Ranking is based on factors like :
- Profile completion – Filling in all the sections of your profile with the right content is a factor that helps improve ranking. The richer the content on your profile, the more points you will get for ranking.
- Reviews – Reviews from people who have used your services is another factor that we use to calculate ranking
