What is UrbanPro?
UrbanPro is the new name for ThinkVidya.com. As you know, ThinkVidya.com is one of India’s leading education marketplaces and has had great success in connecting students and parents to teachers and institutes that meet their specific requirements.
After our success in education, we are launching several new categories where we will be providing similar local services and hence we needed to change the brand name to UrbanPro from ThinkVidya.com.
Local services that will be introduced on UrbanPro.com will include:
- Education (existing service)
- Health & Wellness
- Event Management & Services
- Photography
- Interior Designers
- Other Professionals – Lawyers, Investment Professionals etc.
We will be launching these local services in a new city every couple of months. The first city where we will launch these new categories is Bangalore.
What was the reason behind changing the name?
Earlier, we were offering services only in education. The main reason for changing the brand name is because we are expanding our services to categories beyond education. UrbanPro.com is now a new marketplace to hire skilled service professionals in following categories:
- Education (Existing Service from ThinkVidya.com )
- Health & Wellness
- Event Management & Services
- Photography
- Interior Designers
- Other Professionals – Lawyers, Investment Professionals etc.
I have used ThinkVidya.com before to find a teacher. Will I still be able to do that going forward?
There would be no changes in the current services that we have been offering so far. We will continue to grow the education vertical as that will still be a large part of our business.
However, we are now also offering you the ability to find local service professionals in a lot of other categories too. UrbanPro will be “one destination” for you to find service professionals to meet all your major requirements whether it is a teacher or institute for kids, a fitness instructor for oneself or a party planner to organize a party.
Do I have to pay anything to post a requirement for a Service Professional?
No. We do not charge you anything for posting a requirement. You can post a requirement on UrbanPro for FREE. We will then connect you to service professionals that meet your requirement. You can then talk to them and decide on the pricing..
Will you be launching an UrbanPro App?
Currently, you can post a requirement on UrbanPro via the web. We will also be launching an UrbanPro App soon where you can post the requirement via the App. We will keep you updated on the App launch soon.
Are all these new service categories available now?
We will be launching these new service categories one city at a time. We will let you know via email on launch of these new categories in your city.
