Here is an excerpt from the interview with Urmila

Q1. When and how did you start as an MBBS Tutor?

Ans: I had started teaching (Biochemistry) in 2008, during my college days, in a hostel for NRI students. These students were unable to understand the subject. Since then I had developed an interest in teaching and started teaching with few of the subjects of MBBS including, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, microbiology etc.

Later on, as I had a good experience and interest, I started teaching professionally for MBBS and BDS students.

Q2. What skills are required to become an MBBS Tutor?

Ans: Since the MBBS course syllabus is vast, keen in-depth knowledge and skills are required to make concepts easy to understand and learn. Many students are not aware of what and how much should be written for any questions in exams, carrying different marks, so I guide them along with many units tests to write.

Most of the time, as per my experience, students are disappointed and overburdened, Hence I also provide counselling for them.

Q3. What do you think makes you stand out from other MBBS Tutors on UrbanPro.com?

Ans: Each student has a different level of understanding that must be acknowledged and that is how I take care while teaching.

I feel responsible for my students and connect with whomever I taught. I think that is what makes me stand out from other tutors.

Q4. How did you come across UrbanPro.com?

Ans: I came across urbanpro through the internet.

Q5. What was the turning point in your career?

Ans: I had found a very good opportunity in drug development dept of an organisation (confidential) and at the same time faculty to teach and train. That is how I started teaching MBBS students offline as well as online for those who were unable to reach.

Q6. How did UrbanPro.com help you expand your teaching classes?

Ans: My profile had exposure to many candidates who were registering on this portal and that is how they approach me.

Q7. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro.com?

Ans: Honestly speaking, it’s very less, 10-15% for now. Mostly students come by mouth to mouth marketing, as they come to know about my teaching.

But I do believe and hope that UrbanPro will help me grow my work more and more. And the best part I have experienced that students from any part of India are able to find me.
