Here is an excerpt from the interview with Arooshi, a Yoga Trainer:
Q1. When and how did you start as a Yoga Trainer?
Ans. I have been practicing Yoga and meditation since a young age. It helped me have a clear head and clarity about my life goals. I wanted to share the benefits of the practice with students and young working professionals because it had helped me greatly when I was in the Corporate sector. I did my official teacher’s training in 2014 and have been teaching Yoga since then.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Yoga Trainer?
Ans. I think communication is the most important skill required. The teacher’s communication with the students should come from a place of compassion, no judgment, and understanding so they feel comfortable in class.
Q3. What do you think makes you stand out from other Yoga Trainers on UrbanPro.com?
Ans. I put a lot of emphasis on holistic well-being. Yoga to me has never been a physical exercise or gymnastics. I incorporate philosophy and meditation into my classes. I teach the techniques that I have learned from my teachers without adulteration. I also believe in the power of community, a ‘Sangha’ of all my students.
Q4. How you came across UrbanPro.com?
Ans. I came across UrbanPro.com through Google.
Q5. What was the turning point in your career?
Ans. I started teaching children with special needs in 2015. It gives me immense joy and satisfaction to work with the kids. I was surprised at how much I learn from these children and I still continue to. I had never thought at the start of my yoga career I’d do something like this but it has truly added a new dimension to my teaching.
Q6. How UrbanPro.com platform helped you to expand your Yoga Classes?
Ans. I have a few amazing personal clients that I got through UrbanPro. This platform helped me build a nice network for my personal clients.
Q7. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro?
Ans. Around 15% of my work comes from UrbanPro.com.
